INTRODUCTION
Chariho Regional High School has a total enrollment of 1,249 students as of 2015 regarding the grades of 9-12. The school is located in Wood River Junction, a rural village in Washington County; which is approximately 40 miles south of Providence. The Chariho Regional High School includes three towns from Washington County: Charlestown, Richmond, and Hopkinton--as well as the Narragansett Native American Community. Chariho is the largest school district in Rhode Island, with a total land area of 126 square miles.


While the process of moving a family is a challenging one, by relocating in one of the three towns that make up the Chariho Public School District, you are guaranteed your young adult will receive a quality education at Chariho High School. Not only is the school's academic program rewarding, the towns themselves have lots of perks that make Charlestown, Richmond, and Hopkinton an attractive place to live. DEMOGRAPHICS

As the chart shows above, the Median Household Income is healthy, the Chariho community is above the median of Rhode Island and the US, as well as the Median Family Income at $8,281.00. The amount of families living below the poverty level is low at 2.5% compared to Rhode Island and the United States. There is a strong child population, which shows that Chariho is an upcoming and family accepting district.

As the chart shows above, there is a low amount of children under age 19 receiving medical assistance at 428 compared to Rhode Island at 104, 532. In the Chariho High School, there is a teen birth rate per 1000 girls, from the ages of 15 to 19 calculate at 14. There is a low amount of neglected children, incarcerated parents and youth at the training school in Chariho. These numbers are probably due to the fact that the Chariho district does not have a large population of people below the poverty line.

As shown in the chart above, Chariho has a high number of incidents compared to Barrington being a top rated high school in Rhode Island as well as Central Falls, one of the lowest rated High Schools in the state. The main reason for the high number of incidents are that there is three towns incorporated in one High School creating the largest populated High School in Rhode Island.

DISTRICT SUMMARY
Chariho High School shows a consistent positive pattern throughout the data. The NECAP and SAT scores show that Chariho is a above average High School and your child will get a good education and most likely a high score due to his or her participation in this school district. Chariho High School takes its attendance and testing seriously, it is a reason as to why it is so successful and why so many families reside in this area of Rhode Island. They are families who move here for great schooling, but also a great area for their families to grow up and enjoy their ocean surroundings.





CONCLUSION
The students that attend Chariho High School receive a quality education in a safe environment. The students test well and are well above the state averages in scores across the SAT and NECAP tests. The community is by and large a great one to move into, as the Wood River Junction area comprises of three rural towns in a pleasant area. All and all, Chariho Public High School is a great one for your child to attend and grow as a learner.
